Leading the Knights Cathedral Branch

Meet the men helping shape the Cathedral Branch: Catholic men from different generations, professions and walks of life, brought together by faith, fraternity and a desire to serve.

Chairman

Jason Damouni

Jason has led the Cathedral Branch since 2023. He is passionate about building a branch where Catholic men can grow in faith, support one another and serve the wider Cathedral community in practical ways.

He has a particular heart for service initiatives, from supporting people experiencing homelessness through Shopfront to standing with Catholic Palestinian families connected to his hometown.

Outside the Knights, Jason is the Managing Director of Trivium Energy Pty Ltd and serves as a sub-deacon in the Melkite Catholic community in Perth.

Deputy Chairman

Mike Davila

Mike has been a member of the Order for more than 10 years and brings extensive experience across branch and state leadership. He has previously served as Branch Chairman, Deputy State Chairman and Treasurer.

His commitment to Catholic fraternity and service began before joining the Knights of the Southern Cross, having also been a member of the Knights of Columbus. He continues to serve the wider community through his volunteer work with Southern Cross Care.

Mike is currently Chairman of the Knights Education Foundation and continues to play an active role in supporting the work and mission of the Order.

Outside the Knights, Mike is a Project Engineer at Woodside and an avid sportsman.

Secretary

Luke Gauci

Luke is the newest member of the leadership team and has already taken on the important responsibility of serving as Branch Secretary.

He also leads the branch’s education programme, helping bring thoughtful discussion into regular branch meetings.

Outside the Knights, Luke is an engineer at Woodside Energy and brings a practical, considered approach to the work of the branch.
